# About Cash for Clothes South

We're a cash-for-clothes drop-off based in Lancing, serving people across Worthing, Brighton, Hove, Shoreham, Steyning, Storrington and the rest of West Sussex and Brighton & Hove.

The idea is simple. You've got bags of clothes you don't want, and we've got industrial scales and cash in the till. You book an appointment, bring the bags to our unit, we weigh them in front of you, and you leave with the money the same visit. No forms, no waiting for a bank transfer, no haggling once we've seen the load.

## Why we do this

We're experienced in the textile reuse and recycle industry. We couldn't believe how much wearable clothing was ending up in West Sussex bins every week. UK households throw away roughly 300,000 tonnes of textiles a year, and a chunk of that is stuff someone else would happily wear.

If we can pay you a fair price and redirect the lot into second-hand and recycling channels, everyone wins. You, us, and the landfill site that doesn't have to take it.

## What happens to your clothes

We work to collect pre-loved clothing which we resell to the secondhand market for the purpose of reuse. Wearable items go into the second-hand trade. Some to UK reuse channels, some exported to markets in Eastern Europe and Africa where there's genuine demand.

This actively prevents tons of post-consumer waste from clogging UK landfills each year.

## How we operate

We weigh honestly and we pay honestly. One price per kilo, visible weighing on industrial scales, cash in hand, no games. People come back and tell their neighbours, and that's how we grow.
